The sophisticated flash units of today can seem cumbersome and overwhelming to most new users. With all the technical manual booklets and countless YouTube tutorials, learning between Automatic, Manual and TTL modes can make even the most eager photographer anxious. However, these modes are not only easy to use but mastering them can help bring your photographs to a more professional level.
In this class, students will learn to utilize both on-camera and off-camera flash to light their photographs. We will discuss types of flash and various ways to meter. We will practice using flash at night, in mixed lighting situations and how to use multiple flashes.
As usual in PhotoUno, there will be class exercises with the guidance of the instructor.
Students will work on a series of their own choice that will be presented as a Photography Exhibition at PhotoUno.
Pre-requisite: Photography I or equivalent.
Make-up classes are available for this course.
