Photographing strangers can be one of the most intimidating endeavors a budding street photographer will face—but it can also be the most rewarding.  Whether you’re interested in making candid or posed portraits, our Photographing Strangers workshop will help you create dynamic, memorable images.

In this two-hour workshop, we will discuss what equipment will work best for street portraits, what your rights are as a photographer, and strategies for dealing with strangers directly and covertly.  While photographing outdoors, your instructor will cover topics such as shooting from the hip, posing your subject, and being aware of lighting conditions.  The instructor will also provide you with feedback and hands-on direction to making your photos as successful as they can be.

By the end of this workshop, you will come away with a great knowledge of what makes a compelling street portrait, and increased confidence in your photography skills  and interpersonal interactions with strangers.
